One of the things that I am keen to do with European Traction is to emphasise just how accessible continental railways really are. Not all of us have the time or the money available to go abroad chasing trains for weeks at a time, but there are plenty of rewarding day trips that can be made from the UK to a surprisingly broad array of foreign countries – and often for less money than your average railtour.
