Further Ownership

1st March 2018 saw three 111s (111 210111 215 and 111 222) unveiled in the livery of their new owner, RailAdventure.  This company has carved a niche for itself as an operator of test and delivery runs of new rolling stock – its locos can currently be seen hauling the new Caledonian Sleeper and Thameslink stock pre-delivery across Germany, for example – so, although it is great to see that these machines have a future, at the current time they seem unlikely to be regular fixtures at the head of passenger-carrying trains.

111 094 departs Frankfurt Hbf, 15/06/10 (JW)

Forthcoming Workings

There are still many passenger diagrams for these machines on regional trains in several areas of Germany, most of which are available to members of European Rail Gen (please may I give a polite reminder that if you use these diagrams, please post your sightings to the group so we all can benefit!).  However, it must be said that their sphere of operation is rapidly contracting as new EMUs enter traffic.
