ÖBB Class 2045

The 2045s were a 20-strong fleet of diesel-electric locos built for Austria by Simmering-Graz-Pauker in Wien-Floridsdorf in the post-war years.  The first – 2045.08 – was withdrawn in 1979; five class members did not last long enough to receive the new post-1985 numbers; and the final examples were finally withdrawn on 1st May 1993.

Survivors

7 of the 20 locos survive in preservation – 2045 001002009012015019 / 020, all of which remain in Austria.
