Polish Service Train Steam

Work in progress…

It seems that 2019 may well be the last year of steam-hauled main line service trains in Poland.  The current agreement for it to operate runs out at the December 2019 timetable change.

The operation is centred on the famous steam shed at Wolsztyn and the motive power for these services is permed from a fleet of three locos – Ol49 59, “Ol49 69” (both 2-6-2s – the latter in reality Ol49-99) and 2-8-2 Pt47-65.

The diagrams as currently understood are below, but do check out this website for a regularly-updated list of any planned amendments prior to your trip.  Also, there is now a temporary break in steam motive power until 21st January 2019.
